Genesis Specialist Hospital provides emergency medicine services to treat life-threatening illnesses. Emergency care is a highly specialized discipline with extraordinary demands. We are composed of a team of board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and other specially trained staff. All our nurses are certified in emergency and critical care from Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). In addition, many of our nurses are Certified Emergency Nurses and are active volunteers on our local emergency rescue squads.
Genesis Hospital’s emergency medical services provide care and treatment to sick and injured people in the community. These treatments are guided by medically approved protocols. Genesis Hospital’s emergency medicine team provides stabilizing care to all our patients. In emergency department we do triage on all patients. Triage is the mechanism by which we evaluate and prioritize patients based upon a defined system. Depending on need, we are equipped to perform lab tests and radiological procedures to evaluate the patient. We provide quick service to help improve patient flow and enhance satisfaction.
For those who require specialized care, we coordinate and complete the transfer of patients between healthcare facilities and transport people to an appropriate medical facility. We offer rapid transfer by ambulance or helicopter to a different medical center inside or outside the country.
